Discover the things to do in Hickory Corners during Christmas. This small town along Gull Lake in southwestern Michigan is a place I wanted to travel to for the past couple years. It is home to the WK Kellogg Manor House, the former summer residence of the cereal magnate WK Kellogg. And a short drive away from the Gilmore Car Museum, home to North America’s largest auto museum. While researching Christmas attractions in Michigan, I discovered both the manor and museum hold Christmas events. What better way to spend a day then by visiting both attractions during a Christmas themed day trip in Michigan.

The first outing my family and I went on after our son was born was a day trip to Montague and Whitehall. These two charming small towns are close to larger west Michigan cities but far enough away to feel like we escaped to somewhere new. Plus, both towns never feel busy compared to traditional West Michigan tourist towns like Grand Haven, Holland, or Ludington.
